Adaptive Reuse merupakan suatu proses yang kompleks dalam menentukan kebijakan seperti apa yang perlu diambil dalam memelihara suatu bangunan yang dalam hal ini dikhususkan untuk bangunan yang fungsi aslinya sudah hilang. Pembahasan mengenai konsep ini dibuat dalam rangka mengefektifkan suatu aset walaupun sudah tidak berfungsi sebagaimana aslinya tetapi tetap dapat menghasilkan suatu nilai ekonomis dan mempertahankan nilai sosial budaya di dalamnya. Berbagai pembahasan merujuk pada hasil bahwa adaptive reuse ini sangat penting untuk diterapkan dalam dunia nyata demi untuk terus menjaga keberlanjutan suatu aset tanpa harus memusnahkannya. Banyak juga terdapat kriteria tentang bagaimana seharusnya konsep ini berjalan agar tujuan dari penggunaan konsep ini bisa dirasakan oleh sekitar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa metode kualitatif dengan berbagai bentuk pendekatannya dalam mencari teori dan juga kesimpulan.
