PENYULUHAN 4R DALAM RANGKA MENGURANGI SAMPAH PLASTIK PADA LINGKUNGAN SEKOLAH

Abstract

Reducing plastic waste is important because most of the containers used in human activities are made of plastic, while plastic itself is a material that does not decompose easily and takes a long time. The methods used are lecture, discussion, practice and question and answer. The activity was carried out at Draiwanti Middle School, Bekasi City. A total of 32 students took part in this activity. Activities were carried out from March to May 2024. The results of community service activities showed that there was an increase in knowledge, behavior, practical application and community involvement in schools. Students show indications of changes in daily habits, such as being more selective in using single-use plastic. Schools together with all stakeholders must continue to improve 4R activities, so that the environment is cleaner and more beautiful, which in turn creates a healthy lifestyle. Building environmental awareness from an early age can grow a generation that is more concerned about environmental issues. It is hoped that the application of the 4R principles will not only stop in the school environment, but will also be brought to homes and communities
