IMPLEMENTASI KONSEP GREEN BUILDING DALAM MENDUKUNG TERCIPTANYA SEKOLAH HIJAU DI SMKN 2 SRAGEN
Abstract
The phenomenon of environmental damage has increased in the last 5 (five) years. Environmental damage occurs not only due to natural activities, but more often due to human actions. Several efforts to protect and manage the environment have been carried out by the government and the community. Environmental protection and management can be done by increasing human awareness and willingness to care about the environment again, one of which is through Environmental Education (PLH). One form of implementing PLH is habituation through the school environment. The Educational Environment is expected to be the basis for instilling a love for the environment from an early age. In line with the Public Works Polytechnic which runs Vocational Education, SMK can be a very relevant partner. Education designed in SMK emphasizes more on developing student skills as a provision for being ready to work. The idea of ??building a green school in Indonesia is based on the idea and awareness that schools as one of the educational institutions are the right place to instill and foster a sense of love for the preservation of nature and the environment. Schools are considered capable of providing environmental education from an early age to students, building a mindset in all school residents about nature and environmental conservation, and training students who will later become agents of change in nature and environmental conservation. In addition, the Directorate of Vocational High Schools under the Ministry of Education and Culture has launched the Green School Design Guide which aims to improve the quality of management of vocational school facilities and infrastructure.
